A Phone Call
From Citibank! While Lisa and Kat are in Scottsdale, Aaron (Lisa's hubby) gets a call from Citibank's early warning fraud detection department. Not a good sign. Citibank informs Aaron that there are nearly $18,000 worth of charges from Paris. Aaron informs them that neither he nor Lisa have been to Paris lately. Aaron calls Lisa in Scottsdale to let her know that
Citibank has closed their account and frozen their credit until the problem
is cleared up. The Citibank card is the only credit card Lisa has with
her... but she actually handles the news well. Afterall, she's got her
checking account hooked up to eBay, so it's not like it's going to put a
damper on her auction buys! Besides, Lisa's too busy working on her
website to bother with such problems. LAWRENCE,LISA
In doing so, she discovers some charges that Kat obviously made while they were in Scottsdale! Look, the first charge is to Marcia Friend of Facets thru Paypal. Obviously Kat bought some jewelry from Marcia! This must have been while Deb and Lisa were shopping at Walmart Supercenter, as the next charge verifies. Lisa's pissed. She thought she and Marcia had an understanding about letting Kat use Lisa's account. Suddenly, the light dawns... Lisa realizes that Kat may have made the Paris charges over the internet!
Kat is getting ready to go swimming with Aaron. Lisa barges in the room and starts yelling at her! Kat sighs. Now what?
Kat raises her sunglasses and takes in Lisa's tirade. On and on and on Lisa goes, yelling something about Kat charging stuff from Paris. Kat doesn't know what Lisa is talking about but then... no one ever really does! After 15 minutes of listening to Lisa's accusations, Kat calmly asks to see Lisa's proof.
They head over to Lisa's laptop... where the charges are all listed. Ok, now Kat has something to work with!
Kat is so tired of Lisa's nagging, but she decides to play the game. Look! She points out. There's a charge to McDonalds in Boulogne!
And there's another charge to McDonalds in Paris!
She turns back to Lisa and smugly says, "Have you EVER
known me to eat at McDonalds" It's right there in black and white or
black and turquoise as the case may be. Lisa has to back off.
Kat's got her on this one. NO WAY would Kat eat at McDonalds....
especially if she were in Paris!
Kat pulls down her shades and raises her arm in VICTORY! Lisa walks away humiliated, mumbling something about Kat not be guilty "this time." Kat leaves to catch up to Aaron for their daily swim.
